Countdown to

[waiting name="Windows 7 EOL"]

After a decade of service, Microsoft is ending support of Windows 7 on 14th January 2020. This means that any device still running Windows 7 after this date will not receive any security updates and will be vulnerable security issues, viruses and malware.

A very important point regarding the Windows 7 end of life is that any businesses that don’t upgrade risk breaching GDPR compliance. Breaching GDPR carries hefty penalties that can not only damage a business but potentially close them down. And who wants fines?

Support for Windows 7 coming to an end

Do you remember the Windows 10 upgrade debacle? We do! Nothing will happen automatically like the Windows 10 upgrade which is both good and bad. The good is that you have time to act. The bad is that if you don’t act, your computer systems are going to be left open to vulnerabilities, viruses, and malware.

We know this sounds like impending doom and we’re sorry! But it is a very important issue that you need to take action with now rather than let it slide and deal with any consequences later on. Plus, it’s not a massive job and we’ll handle it all for you.
